University Law College was established in 1948 as Government Law College by the erstwhile Government of Mysore. In year 1976 the Government Law College was transferred to the reputed Bangalore University, since then it is known as ULC-Bangalore (University Law College, Bangalore). University Law College, Bangalore University has been ranked 18th amongst the Top-25 law schools in the country by India Today.

ULC Bangalore University offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in Law. Situated in the garden city of Bangalore, University Law College is a pioneer legal-education institution of Karnataka. It is widely considered as one of the best government run law schools in India. The college houses a library with collection of over 45,000 books and 16,000 journals. University Law College, Bangalore is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Hostel facilities are also provided for boys and girls.
