IIM Kozhikode was established in year 1996 in collaboration with Kerala State Government. It is the best located IIM B-School of India. The motto of IIM Kozhikode is ‘Diligence leads to Excellence’. IIMK is the 5th Indian Institute of Management in order of establishment. Like other IIM institutes, IIM Kozhikode has also earned similar reputation worldwide for academic excellence. It offers the widest range of academic programmes in the field of management education. The Institute started its Fellow (Doctoral) Programme in Management in 2007 to complete full range of educational services expected from an Institution of higher learning.

Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGP)
The Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is equivalent to MBA. It is a two year full time programme that nurtures world-class managers by exposing them to real life amorphous situations along with analytical tools and business philosophies. Post-Graduate Program in Management is rated as the toughest MBA programme in the world to get admission.
Executive Management Education Program (eMEP)
The Executive Management Education Programme (eMEP), the first of its kind to be offered in the Asia Pacific region, is designed exclusively for working professionals. The programme attempts to fulfill the demands of the Indian corporates for continued training and development of its executive workforce by offering a wide spectrum of courses encompassing all functional areas of Management.
Management Development Program (MDP)
IIM Kozhikode’s Management Development Programs are a series of innovative high-impact training programs to meet emerging requirements of the industry. Programs range from three to six days. IIMK also conducts custom-designed programs upon request from business, industry and other organizations/Government departments, to train officers and executives.
Fellow Program in Management (FPM)
The Fellow Programme in Management is the PhD program or doctoral program of IIM K. The main objective of FPM is to provide students with the necessary skills to identify and research complex issues in the field of management. This is a 3-4 year resedential program, in which the first year is common with the PGP program, and subsequent years are to be spent on research and teaching.
Centre of Excellence (CEx)
IIMK incubates a Centre of Excellence(CEx), where youth from the marginalized sections of society, such as the SC/STs, are imparted training to make them intellectually and emotionally capable of joining reputed companies and educational institutions. The skills taught also make them capable of clearing entrance exams of various educational institutions.
Faculty Development Program (FDP)
The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is designed specially for researchers, teachers and trainers in Human Resource Department for their management education requirements. The duration ranges from three days to three weeks. FDP provides participants a unique opportunity for self-development with compulsory courses and specially designed workshops.
Admission Procedure
CAT or GMAT score and a Bachelor’s degree are required to apply for the IIM Postgraduate Programs in Management (PGP). In some Post Graduate programs you can also apply if you are awaiting your results. As you apply for a Postgraduate Program in Management, your academic record, scholastic achievements, personal Interview, group discussion and performance in the relevant field of work is often counted upon during the selection procedure. The admission to the P G Programme is through a highly rigorous internationally acclaimed admission test with average selection rate of less than one in hundred candidates.
