Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research

The DIPSAR is one of the best Pharmacy Institute in India, with a strength of approximately 500 students, situated on a beautiful 10 acre campus in South Delhi. The institute is experiencing a fast academic growth and commitment to the challenges of the 21 s ' century. In the highly competitive environment, the Institute is capitalizing on its strengths in areas such as academic innovation, comprehensive trainingand flexible educational delivery systems.

Started in 1964, as Department of Pharmacy of the Kashmere gate Polytechnic for imparting Diploma education in Pharmacy. Institute has moved to the present campus in 1979. The Institute awards Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees in Pharmacy under Delhi University, in addition to D. Pharmacy course.

It is the only Institution of Pharmacy in India where the faculty members are selected through Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Govt. of India. It is funded by Govt. of NCT of Delhi, and is affiliated to University of Delhi. The Institute imparts Master's degree in various specializations viz. Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Hospital Pharmacy and Quality Assurance. The Institute has submitted proposal to University of Delhi for starting four new M. Pharm Courses i.e. Pharmaceutical Management, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharma Regulatory Affairs, Herbal Drug Technology & Clinical Research for the academic session 2006-07 and also in the process of getting approval of AICTE.

The Institute has been identified by AICTE as the Host Institution for National Doctoral Fellowship Scheme (NDF) and Early Faculty Induction Programme (EFIP).
