Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is a college of engineering, established in 1961 at Hauz Khas in New Delhi. IIT Delhi is one of the premier engineering institutes of India. It is a centre of excellence for higher training, research and development in science and technology in India. IIT Delhi has also been accorded the status of a deemed university with powers to decide its own academic policies. It has 13 Departments and 11 Centres offering undergraduate, postgraduate and dual degree courses.

The institute campus is located in South Delhi covering an area of 320acres. It is a fully residential institute providing hostel facilities for both boys and girls. IIT Delhi has been ranked No. 2 by India Today in the list of Top 25 Engineering colleges of India. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi offers students the benefit of a thriving educational environment.
