Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is a college of engineering, established in 1961 at Hauz Khas in New Delhi. IIT Delhi is one of the premier engineering institutes of India. It is a centre of excellence for higher training, research and development in science and technology in India. IIT Delhi has also been accorded the status of a deemed university with powers to decide its own academic policies. The institute campus is located in South Delhi covering an area of 320acres. It is a fully residential institute providing hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
