Motilal Nehru College is one of the first and foremost colleges established by Delhi Administration in the 1964. The college started with all the three faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce. Situated in a sprawling and beautiful campus, the college prides itself with being one of the most disabled friendly campuses in the University of Delhi and received appreciation from NGOs such as the Sambhavana which visited the college in liaison with the Delhi University. Further, the placement records of students who have successfully graduated, is an enviable one and worthy of mention. The college is now in the process of enlarging its infrastructure which includes state-of-the-art class rooms, 24 x 7 Genset for power back up, etc. in view of the OBC reservation implemented by the Govt. of India.

The college strongly promotes an environment friendly campus and has made sincere efforts to sensitize the students & stakeholders about the same. A case in point is the Rain Harvesting project, Solar-powered street lights etc. and various such initiatives.

The college has furnished Information mandatory as per RTI ACT under Manual 1 to 16. and was one of the first to update its website in this regard which has been applauded by the concerned agency/media.

Apart from a continued success in academics with our students featuring in the top of the Annual University list, the college has performed exceptionally well in cultural & sports events both at the state and national level competitions, which has been widely responded in both the print & electronic media.
