Satyawati College (Evening) is a constituent college of Delhi University. Established in 1973, the College takes its name after Behan Satyawati, the illustrious freedom fighter of Delhi, remembered for her dedication to various missions. Known for her exceptional courage and conviction, Behan Satyawati worked in close association with patriots like Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Jai Prakash Narayan and Sarojini Naidu.
The college has nearly 1400 students including about 500 girls on rolls and provides under-graduate teaching to students coming mainly from Delhi. The college has a teaching faculty of about 70 and non-teaching staff of 28 members. The college offers Delhi University’s academic courses of B.A. (Prog.), B.Com Course, B.Com (Hons.), Economics (Hons.), English (Hons.), History (Hons.) Political Science (Hons.) and Hindi (Hons.).
