Turning out to be a doctor is a youth dream for numerous students and there is no other career, which commands such a respect and wonderful as medicine. The power to cure has placed the medical profession several rungs above all others. A doctor’s profession involves a lot of hard work with a good degree of dedication and at the same time, it brings with it the satisfaction of having cured people suffering from illness, disease and trauma.

A simple degree in medicine is however not enough for making a successful and a satisfactory career. Candidates who have passed 10+2 exam with physics, chemistry and biology (Zoology & Botany) are eligible for admission into MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) course. Selection for the course is through all India competitive entrance examination or state level competitive entrance examination. Admission in the different medical colleges and hospitals of the country for producing medical professionals is done through various entrance examinations. These entrance examinations are conducted by the conducting boards or organizations at All India Level or State Level.

There are different levels of examination in Medical Exams like Undergraduate courses, Post Graduation courses and specialized programs. The demand for medical professionals for treatment as well as research work is ever increasing both within India and abroad. The continuing liberalization of financial system is expected to bring in better opportunities for medical professionals in terms of remuneration, research and working facilities. The various colleges like BHU, AIIMS, Aligarh Muslim University, Armed Forces Medical College, Delhi University etc organize different Medical entrances to admit students.

Medical Entrance Exams like All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT), Armed Forces Medical Core Entrance (AFMC), Banaras Hindu University-Pre Medical Test (BHU-PMT), Maharashtra Health Science & Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET), Combined Entrance Examination (CEE), for various Indian States and many other are the prestigious medical entrances which are nationally for the admission in the various medical colleges in India.
