BHU or Banaras Hindu University is creating new wave in the field of education in India and it is amongst the top universities of the world. Banaras Law School, changed name of the Faculty of Law of Banaras Hindu University, has been playing a significant role to prepare good lawyers since 1923. It is also one of the top law institutes in India. It offers LLB and LLM programs and takes separate entrance exam for the both courses.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate for admission should not be more than of 22 on July 1, 2011. He/she has to pass any bachelor degree or exam of 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks. It takes 384 candidates for its LLB program.
Candidate seeking admission to its LLM Program should have passed a 3-Year LL.B. after Graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern or five years LL.B. and not less than 10+2+5 pattern with 50% marks recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Syllabus
The BHU Law Entrance Exam paper will be of multiple types. It will cover the following topics:
- General Awareness and Current Affairs,
- Common Legal Knowledge,
- Legal Aptitude,
- Mental Ability
- Language Comprehension (Hindi or English)
- The question paper will be objective or subjective types of LLB standard for three hours for LLM Exams.

Application forms for the both LLB and LLM programs can be obtained by post and downloaded from the university official website http://www.bhu.ac.in
The candidates have to crack the All India Entrance Exam for applying these courses under this prestigious university. The candidates have to fill the application form from the campus office and have to submit the form within the due dates.
