IAF Education Instructor scheme offers recruitment to all the male-based candidates who belong to Indian citizenship for the genera of Airman within the Education Instructor Trade of the Indian Air Force. IAF offers admission and maintained by the Government of India for welfare of the country. IAF recruits Indian based applicants for its defense based services of the country. Candidates have to appear for a routine of examination for undertaking admission in the IAF defense based services that is mandatory.

Service in IAF demands not only academics qualification and physical fitness, but also a lot more than that. Above all, the candidate should know the value of motherland. The candidates should be disciplined and abide by the rules and regulation of the Force. The rules are said to be quite tough, but are meant for the benefits of the country as well as for the force. At any cost, any act of indiscipline is not tolerated, and the candidate is punished severely for that. In spite of all the toughness and strictness, the candidates should have firm faith and very high respect for the force.


Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Condition for IAF Education Instructor Exam are Given below:

  • The student must have passed from any subject B. Sc with subjects like (Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science), B.Ed (English), MA (English)
  • The candidate should have passed B Sc with 50% marks from any recognized University with Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science.
  • The candidate should have passed M. Sc (Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science), For BA/B. Sc with B. Ed course
  • Candidate must lie in the age group of 21- 24 years.

Mode of Exam

The candidates are selected based on individual performance in written and physical examination. If one fails in any one of the forms of tests, one is not eligible for the IAF. For being selected in IAF, one needs to pass both the forms of test; written as well as physical. The selection process for the entrance exam is tough as the number of candidates appearing for the exam is high and the numbers of seats offered are very less, thereby enhancing the level of competition.

The Written Entrance test will comprise of following subjects:

  • English
  • Current affairs and General awareness

Those candidates who qualify the aptitude test have to appear in subjective test conducted by the Air force department. Cracking Subjective test will lead to further interview test.

Candidate who qualifies both the tests has to go for medical test for checking physical fitness of the candidate, which includes the statistics of:

  • Minimum Height: 152.5 cms
  • Chest: Minimum unexpanded chest should be 75 cms
  • Vision: Visual acuity at least 6/12 in each eye without glasses correctable to 6/6 in one eye and 6/36 in other eye with glasses

Application Procedure

The Candidate can avail the application form of this examination by cash payment or by DD from the admission Office of the Institute. The application form also can be downloaded from the official Website www.indianairforce.nic.in .After availing the form, one need to fill it with all the required data and send it back before the last date of submission. Application on plain paper, typed or handwritten in English/Hindi as per prescribed format along with other requirements should be sent by post to:
