National Law School India University (NLSIU) admits students to its BA LLB program through CLAT. The NLSIU provides all sorts of generalized facility to the candidates. At present situation, most of the very good students of this university are placed all over the world.

National Law School India University is the first and one of the 12 national law universities in India. It was established by the initiatives of Karnataka Government, the Bangalore University and the initiatives of senior members of the Bar Council of India as well as that of Karnataka State Bar Council. It was finally established through National Law School of India Act (Karnataka Act 22 of 1986). The National Law School of India University, Bangalore a premier Law University in India, invites application for admission to MBL, PGDHRL, PGDMLE, PGDEL, PGDIPRL, PGDCRL under Distance Education Programme and Admission for Research Programmes


NLSIU Eligibility Criteria

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.
In addition, a candidate should be under 20 years (22 years for reserved categories) before 1st July of the appearing year.

NLSIU Syllabus

As it accepts the CLAT examination, scores the CLAT syllabus will be applicable and no specific syllabus is maintained for the entrance exam of NLSIU.

NLSIU Examination

Since the admission to NLSIU is through CLAT, candidates need to apply for CLAT. Candidates can get the form of CLAT through designated branches of Indian Bank, State bank of India and all participating National Law Schools. Candidates can also download the form through the website www.clat.ac.in  One can also get the forms of CLAT through the CLAT office by post by sending a demand draft along with the request for form.
Candidates who wants to go for Application to any of the above programs, kindly write to the Coordinator, Distance Education Department, National Law School of India University, Nagarbhavi, Bangalore – 560 242, along with a Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- drawn in favor of Registrar, NLSIU and payable at Bangalore.
