Eligibility
To apply for RMCAAT a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC) in aggregate with Mathematics at 10+2 level. Those in the final year of their graduation can also apply. In addition, a candidate should have a Rajasthan domicile. For this, the candidates have to provide original documents favoring the present status to the concerned authority as per when required. Furthermore, final years appearing candidates are advised to provide their Certificate of Merit to the Institute within three months from the date of admission. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the seats.
Candidates with BCA, BSc (IT) & BSc (Comp. Science) degrees are eligible for the requirements of mathematics. However, the candidate appearing for the Graduation qualifying examination (Enclosed certificate-6) will also be permitted to appear in the admission test but their admission will be provisional, subject to furnishing the degree of qualifying examination with the prescribed eligibility by 31 July of the appearing year.
Syllabus
There are three subjects covered in the test. Rajasthan Masters of Computer Application Admission Test (RMCAAT) Syllabus is as mentioned here
1. Mathematical Ability
2. Elementary Computer Knowledge
3. Reasoning and Aptitude
RMCAAT carries 200 marks consisting of 200 questions. There is no negative marking. Students are supposed to attempt 200 objective questions with four alternative answers.
Examination
The forms for RMCAAT are expected to be available by April End in selected branches of UCO Bank in Rajasthan. The candidates can pay for the application form by either cash or trough Demand Draft. The DD should be drawn in favor of the Registrar of the Institute. However, aspiring candidates living in the remote areas can apply for the application form through post. For this, they have to forward a requisite letter as well as a DD along with a stamp of minimal value.
- The cost of RMCAAT Test Application Form is Rs 1000 (Rupees One Thousand Only).
- This amount deposited for RMCAAT is neither refundable nor transferable nor adjustable for future RMCAAT.
- A plea that the candidate failed to receive the information for appearing in the RMCAAT 2011 MCA Exam will not be accepted as a ground for the refund of this amount or any other dues.
- The complete RMCAAT MCA Entrance Exam 2011 Application Form duly filled in by candidate’s own handwriting shall be submitted through any one of the following modes so as to reach the RMCAAT office
