National Law University, Jodhpur was established in 1999 by the Rajasthan State Legislature. It is an autonomous law university in India dedicated to provide quality legal education. This educational institution of national prominence was founded with a vision for advancement of learning, teaching, research and diffusion of knowledge in the field of law. National Law University (NLU) Jodhpur has been ranked 8th amongst the Top-25 law schools in the country by India Today.
NLU, Jodhpur offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various streams of law. The admission to these courses is through the Common Law Admission Test. NLU ensures that the students are well-equipped with the knowledge of law and its interface with other disciplines. NLU campus is well equipped with the state of art infrastructure for successfully imparting the legal education of the highest standards. The aim of National Law University, Jodhpur is 'To advance and disseminate knowledge of law and research with a view to ensure its proper role in national development'.

Admission
Students interested in all undergraduate courses must apply for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). All the undergraduate programmes are full time and residential. The intake capacity of all the three undergraduate degree programmes (B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons), B.Sc., LL.B. (Hons), B.A., LL.B. (Hons), put together is 100 students. The break-up of the intake capacity is 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 3% for physically challenged students.
