National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) was established in year 2005. The Government of Kerala constituted this University by merging the erstwhile National Institute for Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS). NIALS was established and managed by the Bar Council of Kerala and Bar Council of Kerala Trust. National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) has been ranked 14th amongst the Top-25 law schools in the country by India Today.
NUALS is located at Kochi, offering undergraduate and postgraduate legal education. The aim of NUALS is to advance and disseminate learning and knowledge of law and legal and judicial processes, professional legal education and their role in national development. The university has a well equipped library, Wi-Fi campus and state of the art infrastructure. NUALS is a centre of providing excellence in higher learning of law in the State of Kerala.

B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)
Admission
Admission to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree course is based on the performance in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
- The candidate for CLAT shall have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate examination (10+2) or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with 50 % marks.
- The candidate shall not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st July, 2010.
- Students who are appearing for the qualifying examination are allowed to appear for CLAT.
