B. M. Birla College of Nursing is an esteem Institution for Nursing, education in India offering Basic, post basic and specialized nursing education programme through the discovery and dissemination of knowledge through research and other scholarly activity. The college was established in the year 2003, to provide educational experience for future leaders in nursing that would include a strong ethical component. The nursing programme integrates liberal art and science with professional education required for Nursing practice. It is controlled financially by B.M.Birla Heart Research centre, Kolkata and academically affiliated to the university of health Sciences west Bengal . The primary objectives of the college are to provide and promote education and research in the field of nursing is always knowledge and evidence based.

Admission Procedure:
- For Bsc in Nursing: Selection will be based on WBJEE rank and through admission counsilling board. student must Passed two-year pre- university examination with physics, chemistry, and biology, English and vernacular in one chance with minimum of 50% aggregate marks. It is for females only.
- For MSc in Nursing: Candidates shall be admitted for the Degree of Master of Science in Nursing. She has qualified for the B.Sc (Nursing) degree of any University. She has had 1 years of experience of which, one year of experience should be in any clinical area in hospital.
- For Cardiovascular and thoracic specialization: Nurses registered with GNM or. B. Sc Nursing.
