IIIT tagged as a deemed university was established in 1999 which ensure every students gets the best experiment and study opportunity while taking their study. The university is located in the state of Karnataka and it offers only graduate progarmmes . It strives to excel in academic culture in equal to the best of the international institution.

It was started jointly by the government of Karnataka and the IT industry. The university provide all the graduate degrees like M. Tech, Ms, PhD in subjects Computer science, Engineering , IT , Software engineering . The campus is a well maintained green lawn creating an ideal learning environment with the facilities like hostels, computer centre, internet facilities, audio visual, and air conditioned. The university set its mission to build on the track record set by India in general to enable India to play a key role in the global IT scenario.
