Visvesvaraya Technological University established as a rural campus on 1998 in the state of Karnataka and even have 144 colleges affiliated all over the city offering varied post graduate course and under graduate course , it has been established by the government of Karnataka in order to promote planned and substantial development . The main focus of university is they embedded technology, software quality, agricultural, engineering and bio engineering. It is one of the biggest technological universities in India.

The college has introduced many courses .it offers 27 disciplines in under graduate course and 66 in post graduate in different in several streams like engineering in different subjects chemical, bio technological, automobile, electronics, computer science, electrical, mechanical enrolling 45000 students in under graduate course and 75000 students in PG level. The university has a area of 200 acres in handi hills with all the facilities like digital library, elearning environment, computer centre , hostels. The university is design need based programme that ensure adequate human resource of the right kind and establish objective evaluation and artificial systems for students.
