The University started in year 2000 and was named as Charotar University of Science and Technology established under the Gujarat Act no. 8 of 2009, Government of Gujarat with the aim to advance learning and research relevant to the society.

Charotar University of Science and Technology offers remarkable range of programme paired with extraordinary breadth of extracurricular activities and opportunities research. The university is 100 acre eco-friendly wi-fi university situated in , charusat which started its journey with 240 students , 4 programme and 1 institute and now it has 19 different programme UG and PG programme with 3300 students enrolled in 7 different institute courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Computer Application, Management, Applied Sciences, Nursing and Physiotherapy approved by respective bodies such as AICTE, PCI, Nursing Council etc. The institute also have a very active Placement cell which provides new opportunities to students.
