All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is considered as one of the highly reputated and prestigious medical college in India and is recognized for providing low cost medical services to its patients.

It is situated in Delhi and was inaugurated in 1965 and was built by the Government of New Zealand. It has been always ranked as the top most medical college in India in order to pursue degree.

Bharat Ratna Dr B.R. Ambedkar Vishwavidyalaya (AUD for short) was established by the Government of the NCT of Delhi through an Act of the Delhi Legislature. The University began functioning in August 2008. It is a Unitary non-affiliating University whose main focus is on undergraduate and postgraduate studies and on research in the Humanities and the Social Sciences. It is completely funded by the State Government of the NCT of Delhi.

The technical school was create in 1940 as a delhi polytechnic. It offered curses like arts, Architecture, commerce, engineering, applied science and textiles.

Delhi University, also known as DU was established in 1922. University of Delhi is the premier university of the country and nations pride. It is known for its quality teaching and research which attracts eminent scholars to its faculty. The university offers over 450 courses of various fields and departments. There are 83 different colleges affiliated to DU, spread in almost all parts of Delhi. It is a UGC recognized university ranked as third best educational institution in India. Masters of International Business is a two year full time MBA equivalent Degree Programme, offered by the Department of Commerce at the University of Delhi, an institute established in 1949 on the lines of the London School of Economics.

The Programme is value added version of Post Graduate Diploma in International Marketing (PGDIM), which was initiated by Department of Commerce, Delhi University in 1985, upgraded into two years full time MIB degree programme in 1995.

Indira Gandhi National Open University is the National Resource Centre for Open and Distance Learning with international recognition and presence, IGNOU is the acronym for Indira Gandhi National Open University. It is a national university with its headquarters and main campus in New Delhi. IGNOU is world’s largest Open University offering over 300 courses catering to more than two million students in India. IGNOU has over 50 regional centers spread all over India. It has 21 different schools offering various courses. The university was established in year 1985 and is affiliated to UGC, AICTE and COL.

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, IIIT Delhi build with seed support from the Government of NCT of Delhi in 2008. It was founded as a state University by Delhi Government.

IIIT Delhi covers an area of about 15000 sq. ft and there are about 123 students at Undergraduates level and 15 at Postgraduate level. It encourages its students for innovation and entrepreneurship in the areas of IT. The centre have various labs and activity rooms.

Jamia Hamdard was a small clinic which was initially started by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, in 1906. He had a vision of making the practice of unani medicine into a scientific discipline and he was a well known practitioners of Unani system of medicine.

For setting up a complex of research and educational institutions, Hakeem Abdul Hameed purchased a piece of land in Tughlaqabad area of South Delhi which was hardly inhabited in those times. In order to implement and execute the objects of Waif as enshrined in the Wakf deed, Hakeem Abdul Hameed and his Muslim associates, established several institutions for teaching and research.

Jamia Milia Islamia is one of the oldest universities of India. It was established in 1920 and was declared as a Central University of India in year 1988. It Urdu and Arabic language Jamia means University, and Millia means National. National Law University, Delhi (University of Law), abbreviated to NLUD is a specialised law university offering courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is situated in Sector- 14, Dwarka, New Delhi, India. NLUD is one of the elite national law schools in India built on the five-year law degree model proposed and implemented by the Bar Council of India.

The Institute, being located in the National Museum, utilizes the entire infrastructure of the National Museum - its laboratory, workshops, auditorium, library, modeling section, photo section and of course, its art collection, both on show and in reserve.

Presently, the Institute is located in the National Museum, Janpath, New Delhi. In the coming 3-4 years, the Institute will have its own campus in its plot of land at A-19, Sector 62, NOIDA, U.P.

The National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, is a premier organization dealing with capacity building and research in planning and management of education not only in India but also in South Asia. In recognition of the pioneering work done by the organization in the field of educational planning and administration, the Government of India have empowered it to award its own degrees by way of conferring it the status of Deemed to be University in August, 2006. Like any Central University, NUEPA university is fully maintained by the Government of India.

Rajiv Gandhi Technical University in Delhi, formerly famous as the Arunachal University, AU was launched in the year 1984. It was on December 7, 2006, that the members of the Union Cabinet sanctioned it to be renamed as Rajiv Gandhi University. Rajiv Gandhi Technical University Delhi provides PG and Ph.D. programs in Commerce, Economics, Education, English, Geography, History, Political Science, Botany, Zoology and Hindi. M.Phil and PG program in Anthropology are guided in the Department of Tribal studies. B.Ed. program is also furnished by the university.

Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan is an educational organization in New Delhi, India. It was founded in 1970 to propagate, develop and encourage Sanskrit learning and research. It is a deemed university and is fully funded by the government of India. It offers B.A., B.Ed, M.A., M.Ed and Ph.D programs and has been running a distance learning program in Sanskrit since 1973.

As a department of Architecture of Delhi polytechnic “The School of Planning and Architecture “ had a beginning in 1941.It is affiliated to Delhi University in 1959 it is a specialized university imparting education and research in the field of Planning and Architecture.

It covers an area of 20 acres which is situated in the capital city, Delhi. It has a status of ‘Deemed to be a University’ in 1979.It is a specialized University which provides training at various levels in different of human habitat and environment . the school had lead in academic programmes in both the fields at bachelor’s and master’s level.

Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, located in Delhi, is a deemed to be University offering higher education at the national level. Prime objective of the University is to provide facilities for the study of such languages and literature of Asia that have a bearing on Sanskrit studies viz. Pali, Iranian, Tibetan, Mongolian, Chinese, Japanese etc.

Teri University has its root in the comprehensive research in the re-aims of energy, environment, and sustainable development. Teri university was established and constituted on 19 August,1998 located in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) , it was deemed to be university in 5 October,1999.

Teri University campus is enclosed by an area enclosed of 2 acres and situated at Vasant Kunj,New Delhi.It was established as the objective to provide for institution and training in energy studies, biosciences, environmental studies, public policy and it was inaugurated by the president of India , Pratibha Deviusingh Patil on 11 September 2008.
