Lingayas University in Faridabad started functioning as Lingayas institute of Management and Technology (LIMAT), the foundation of which was laid on the visionary ideas of noble freedom fighter - Late Shri Gadde Lingaya. The former institute was conferred with deemed University status in the year 2009. Now known as Lingayas University, it has earned recognition under section 3C of the UGC Act, 1956, by Ministry of Human Resource, Government of India.
Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) is one of the leading institutions for higher studies in Delhi NCR. It is a deemed-to-be university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 as a successor of Career Institute of Technology & Management (CITM), which was established in 1997 with the approval of AICTE, Department of Technical Education Haryana and affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak with an intake of 180 students in Three B.Tech Programme. The Govt. of Haryana conferred Autonomous status to CITM in June, 2008 and MHRD, GoI conferred deemed to be university status to CITM in the name and style of ‘MRIU’.
