Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India is an autonomous non-profit organization promoting entrepreneurship. It was established in year 1983 with the sponsorship from apex financial institutions namely IDBI, ICICI, SBI (State Bank of India) and IFCI. The institute is spread over 23acres of land in Village Bhat, near Ahmedabad Airport. Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India won Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1992.

EDI runs a range of educational programs in the field of entrepreneurship including a 2 year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). EDI has been selected as a member of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) network of Centres of Excellence for HRD Research and Training.
