Established in 1979, the only Law College in South Goa, Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law also started functioning in the same old rented premises in Borda Margao and was recently shifted to the Vidya Vikas Mandal Complex at Tansor, Comba-Margao.

The college offers 3 year and 5 year degree courses amd 2 years PG Degree Course (LLM). College has given to the society and community, alumini whose services have been laudable and who occupy high positions. Besides that, college has an excellent records at the University examinations.

Located in Panaji, the capital city of Goa, V.M. Salgaocar College of Law came into existence in 1972. The college is among the prominent institutes of legal education in the state. It is affiliated to Goa University. The college intends to impart detailed knowledge to the scholars through moot-court room sessions, guest lectures of eminent law personnel, debate and discussion on controversial issues. With the approval of Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi, V.M. Salgaocar College of Law offers three and five year courses in the field of law, as undergraduate and integrated programs, respectively. Apart from this, the college also conducts two-year Master of Laws (LLM) course. The college is operating under the guidance of Devi Shervani Education Society, which is registered under Societies Registration Act 1860.
