NIT Kurukshetra was formerly known as Regional Engineering College. It is a premier technical institute of the region, with its campus extending over an area of 300 acres of picturesque land. In year 2002, NIT Kurukshetra was given the status of Deemed University under the UGC act. It is considered as one of the best engineering institutes in the country.
