Established in 1996, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is a Central University of India. The university campus is located on Rae Bareli Road, about 10kms south of the Charbagh Railway Station. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University offers only post-graduate courses. BBAU aims to promote advance knowledge by providing higher standards of instructional and research facilities. The university provides hostel facilities to students who are not the residents of Lucknow.
