Shri Shahu Mandir Mahavidyalaya is a college which serves the purpose of educating all without any distinction and in that it stands distinct from the rest. The College has embarked upon an ambitious plan to educate the poorest of the poor The College is a branch of Akhil Bharatiya Maratha Shikshan Parishad, an educational trust established in 1907. The foundation stone of the main building of the college was laid by the then Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1959. Today, the College has a three storied building.
