As a department of Architecture of Delhi polytechnic “The School of Planning and Architecture “ had a beginning in 1941.It is affiliated to Delhi University in 1959 it is a specialized university imparting education and research in the field of Planning and Architecture.

It covers an area of 20 acres which is situated in the capital city, Delhi. It has a status of ‘Deemed to be a University’ in 1979.It is a specialized University which provides training at various levels in different of human habitat and environment . the school had lead in academic programmes in both the fields at bachelor’s and master’s level.
