Gandhi Institute of Engineering & Technology, located in Gunupur (Orissa), is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela. The institution started its first academic session in 1997-1998, under the guidance and management of Vidya Bharati Educational Trust. The college holds the distinction of being accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation council NAAC (UGC). Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi & Government of Orissa, Gandhi Institute of Engineering & Technology has also got ISO 9000:2001 certification. The college offers engineering courses in various disciplines at undergraduate as well as postgraduate level. Over the years, the autonomous institution has earned the status of being one of the renowned institutes of science & technology of the state.
