Located in Panaji, the capital city of Goa, V.M. Salgaocar College of Law came into existence in 1972. The college is among the prominent institutes of legal education in the state. It is affiliated to Goa University. The college intends to impart detailed knowledge to the scholars through moot-court room sessions, guest lectures of eminent law personnel, debate and discussion on controversial issues. With the approval of Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi, V.M. Salgaocar College of Law offers three and five year courses in the field of law, as undergraduate and integrated programs, respectively. Apart from this, the college also conducts two-year Master of Laws (LLM) course. The college is operating under the guidance of Devi Shervani Education Society, which is registered under Societies Registration Act 1860.
