M. S. Patel Institute of Management Studies, popularly known as FMS-Baroda, was established in July 1984 to make a distinct contribution to advanced management education and research in the city of Vadodara. It's run by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU). During 1995, the faculty has started a three-year MBA evening programme (approved by AICTE) in November 1996 to cater to the requirements of executive development and training for the business and the industry in and around the Vadodara City. The institute is rated among top 30 Indian B-Schools with A+ grade, positioning itself among top 5 management institutes run by Universities, by Business India in 2000, and also appreciated by Business Today 2000, securing position among top 10 B-schools on certain parameters. The Institute instills in the students the philosophy that vision need not be limited to visible boundaries, but should be extended much beyond.
