The campus is spread over a vast expanse of 2,760acres. The university has 60 hotels of which 17 are girls hostel. The aim of the university is to promote the study of the Sanskrit Literature and Hindu Shastras. BHU not only attracts students from India but also from other countries of the world. The Banaras Hindu University campus is emerging as a potential hub to impart education, training and entrepreneurship development skills, to the youth, women and marginalized sections of society.
