The Faculty of Law of the Banaras Hindu University (Banaras Law School) was established in year 1923. Ever since its inception, it has constantly played a significant role in revamping the legal education. Banaras Law School has been ranked 12th amongst the Top-25 law schools in the country by the latest survey conducted by India Today. It is a part ofone of the most prestigious universities of the Country, Banaras Hindu University. BHU is the largest residential university in Asia.
Faculty of Law, BHU has been playing a significant role in reforming socially relevant legal education. This premier educational institute recently introduced for the first time in India a full time 2 year Post-graduate LL.M. degree course on Human Rights and Duties Education. The admission to both Under Graduate Course LL.B. and Post Graduate Course LL.M. is through All India Entrance Examination conducted by the University generally in the month of May.
